What looks like a nicely laid out Park with large fields and a small playground is also not a place for young kids. While visiting this park with my kid we were met by some local residents with their dogs off the leash. We expected these particular pups as they were featured on the Google Reviews for the park so when pulling up we found no hesitation to exit our car despite being approached by these 2 sheep dogs. The black and white one, "Zero", would eventually within minutes of arriving bite my kid's face while they attempted to play fetch. This dog did not wag its tail at any point but continuously dropped a ball at my kid's feet then would snap at my kid with any attempt to pickup the ball. Our dog being a puppy sometimes gets as rambunctious so we monitored their play but the owner sat chatting nearby oblivious to the dog'sbehavior. The owner had little concern for the event and blamed the dog breed. Not making much deal of it we left after I examined my kid and stressed to the owner this dog should be leashed at all times especially with a sign posted nearby and being at a playground designed for kids. The owner seemed to barely comply and based off other reviews for this park it would appear its best to use it for dog walks but not children visits. Overall the park had nice grassy areas, a few benches and picnic tables along with a single full basketball 🏀 court, swings and playground likely intended for small children. There was a large sandpit surrounding the swings including two infant swings and 2 large. The playground included 3 slides of varying sizes, monkey bars and assorted ladders and stairs for climbing. Also be prepared for no restrooms. It was a nice park but with the dog incident its safe to say we will not be back.

Playground equipment is pretty dated and needs an update. Their is a lot of grass area to play in, two picnic tables and several benches. Dogs come out to play from 3-5pm every day.

What's with all the off leash dogs? This park and others. Can't let my kid run free for fear of all the dogs running around and the owners just watching from across the field. It's really annoying, and it's like this at almost every HB park. The city needs to do something about this and soon.

The field isn't nice and pretty small. They have holes and it's about half dirt half grass. The half court basketball hoop isn't well maintained. Their playground was nice though.

It has been ruined these past few months with underlying fued between us dog lovers and the others. Used to be able to throw a ball for your dog and now the dog has to stay on a short leash.
