What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
My visit today was to bring my dog to the Urban Forest, a pleasant hidden gem in the SW corner of Huntington Beach Central Park. Lots of well-maintained, clearly marked paths amongst small themed gardens and trees. Many trees have botanical placards with the tree names. Dogs are allowed while on leash. There is wildlife, including coyotes (signs are clearly posted), and today we saw hummingbirds, skunks, and horses. The Urban Forest is adjacent to the equestrian center so you will likely notice horse manure on the path. There is a chain link fence separating the Urban Forest and Central Park from the horse stables and equestrian center with a private dirt road between the properties, but horses are taken on the paths regularly. Next to the park, there is an area with signs saying "Therapy horses working". Google for the company name in HBCP if that info is something you may be interested in looking in to. The parking lot I entered, on Ellis, is tiny, for 4 cars, 5 if drivers park considerately.

Read more about Bolsa Chica Ecological ReserveThis is our favorite place for a bonfire.😍🔥 We love going to Bolsa Chica State Beach for a beach day with family or/and friends. It is less busy from other beaches, there area for fire pits is really large. We love th proximity to the beach, restrooms are pretty decent, better than Huntington Beach. Sunsets 🌅are gorgeous, some days visibility let us see Catalina Islan and San Pedro port. We love going for bike rides, rollerblading or just for a walk around and cross to the ecological area to observe birds and enjoy nature. Restaurants are pretty close if you need to buy food or drinks. Weather can change quick so bring layers just in case. Bring your body boards and surf boards for the ones that enjoy water sports. -Would I go back to Bolsa Chica State Beach? YES! 👍🏼😍 Every time that I can. -Would I recommend it? YES!👍🏼😍😎 -
Read more about Bolsa Chica State BeachFor anyone who has been here you know parking is limited so i ended up parking on the other side of the park but I really enjoyed going for a nice walk through the park and when I got to the host they were very busy but they let me known they do have a to-go window so I ordered a delicious strawberry smoothie that tasted so fresh and real and I went on with my walk. Great spot I would highly recommend coming and if you can’t find parking like me park on the other side and enjoy this beautiful park before getting to the cafe. Bring your fur babies it’s a Very pet friendly cafe and park.
