This is the kind of place you can go to any time of the day and any day of the week. If you like photography then you should visit Duck Hollow! You also can go fishing or just explore this little hidden gem of nature
Nice quiet area despite being right on the other side of the river from waterfront. We caught one little baby catfish but it seems the 1000s of minnows were blocking the bigger fish. It was pretty neat to see all those minnows though and the water was pretty clear today and able to see a few feet down in the water which is also pretty rare It was fun though and this was the 2nd time going.
Duck Hollow is always a great place to go! We love to go down to duck hollow and see the water and walk the trail. It’s so peaceful. Great place to go. Great scenes to see!! Thank you for reading my review! I hope you love it just like my family does!
I was at Duck Hollow in Oakmont with a friend today. SmoothSolomon's seal, Great Laurel( Rhododendron Maximum),Northern spicebush, American elm, American beech, white oaks, Cutleaf coneflower, thin-leafed sunflower, elderberry, native violets, dewberry bushes, new york fern, and little fish in the streams. It's a beautiful park that you should visit. The birds are similar to the ones I have : blue-gray gnatcatcher, red-eyed vireo, wood thrush, gold finches, harry woodpecker. It gave me an idea of what my woods should look like.
There appeared to be two trail entrances. The one we walked was paved and peaceful. There was a parking lot. My only complaint was the dirt trail that leads to river access was covered in broken glass so I had to carry my dog in that section.
