East Park

It's a really nice park, very clean, but shady. Kids in the woods are usually being loud and sometimes doing things they shouldn't. Once there was a lady drinking by the zipline park. The playground is very inclusive and fun for kids though.

This is a really nice pocket park on the east side of Elyria. It has two types of paved paths that weave throughout the park, limestone and blacktop. The blacktop path on the north side of the park is a brand new addition and creates a loop starting at Prospect around the baseball fields and back to Prospect Ave. There are two really nice jungle gyms for children in the park on the north and south ends. The north side jungle gym is brand new and features a state of the art and heavy duty zip line. There is also a fitness training center for adults at the entrance of the north side of the park. The park wraps around the East Rec and features at least a mile of trails in nicely wooded areas. I highly recommend visiting this park if you are in the area and looking for a place to relax, walk your dog, or a great place for kids to play. There is also an outdoor basketball court!

There are two playgrounds here now, one in each side of the pool. We were pleasantly surprised when the new one popped up. Both are fun and a nice addition to this side of Elyria
