I applied for a beautiful dog named Augustus and when I went to meet him I was impressed. The facility is clean and the people were very friendly. I decided to adopt him and he has been a great dog ! We love him and he is just as was described as far as in his description. He and our other rescue dog (the brown pitbull mix) get along great! Very happy! 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Last year on November 13th, I adopted a dog from the Erie Humane Society who was known there as Bernie—he’s now Charlie. When I first brought him home, he was terrified of almost everything. For months, I had to gently pick him up and place him outside because he was too afraid to go on his own. He even struggled with something as simple as stairs; it took a couple of months before he could manage more than two steps on the back porch. When we first brought him home, I’m pretty sure it was the first time he had ever seen a cat. They’re not exactly best friends, but Charlie very much wants to play, while the cat wants nothing to do with him. Watching him learn and adjust to a completely new world has been part of his journey. Today, Charlie is a completely different dog. He’s grown in confidence, trust, and spirit, and he has truly been a blessing in my life. Watching his transformation has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s only possible because of the compassion and care that saved him in the first place. I’m so grateful to the Erie Humane Society for rescuing him and giving him a second chance. Thank God for the work you do. Charlie is living proof of how much love, patience, and dedication can change a life. I’ll be adding a few photos to show just how well he’s doing now. Thank you for everything you do for animals like Charlie. ❤️🐶

The staff were amazing through the whole process. I went in wanting to look at a pup but honestly had no clue what I was doing. The workers were super friendly, kind and helpful. I had my 1 year old with me which always makes things a bit more complicated but the workers were so kind and friendly even with him. The lobby looked great, super clean and all the dogs we saw seemed happy and well taken care of. We ended up adopting our sweet girl Paisley and are so happy we got to take her home:)

Very nice, happy animals. Got my new best friend Wally, a 10 month old mix lab/Australian shepherd there!

Their adoption process was super easy and smooth. The staff is very kind and takes great care of their animals. Most shelters have tight restrictions on adoption and I was very surprised they let us adopt out two cats at one time! This is rare and my brother and I can’t thank them enough for allowing us to give these angels a great forever home. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to adopt! Attached is my sweet baby Beans!
