We needed to get the kids out of the house on a hot September day and Fall Run Park was the perfect escape. The hike was so relaxing and peaceful, and the shade from the trees made it really comfortable. Our small children's favorite part was definitely the shallow stream—they spent ages just splashing around and throwing rocks. The trail to the main waterfall is easy and well-kept, which was great for our little ones. They loved crossing the stream on those solid little bridges. The best part was all the smaller rapids and riffles along the way. The sound of the water was so calming, and we found several spots to hop off the trail and get our feet wet. It's hard to believe you're still so close to the city! Even though there were quite a few people there enjoying the beautiful scenery, it never felt crowded. It was just a really nice, easy-going day. We'll definitely be back!

Only con : port o potty bathroom is the only one on site I saw. Yet this park is SOOO amazing and beautiful that it's not even a big deal. So it is still 5 stars. (There's a Sheetz nearby if you really need to use the bathroom and want an alternative to the port o potty. ) I never knew this spot was here so to me it's a hidden gem. The waterfall towards the end is a beautiful treat. Otherwise it is a very peaceful place to do a quick walk or light hike. It's not a place if you want a challenging workout or an off the grid adventure because it's a smaller trail. Something random and cool that isn't talked about is further down the trail there's like a little cubby with items for dogs /pets. If you leave something you can take something type deal. Great place if you're local and want a spot to get away or "thinking spot" or if you wanna explore a cute lil park randomly. Love it!

Very peaceful and serene. It’s a very nice escape from the busy streets of Pittsburgh. Beautiful scenery and calming sounds. Went with my girlfriend and we both throughly enjoyed ourselves. Not many people there either so if you are not a people person this is the park for you😁 10/10

This was the perfect spot for an easy relaxing walk. The entire walk followed along a creek that was accessible if you had children who wanted to play. I didn’t measure it but I would say it was between a mile and a half and two miles out and back. There were a couple steps by the waterfall and one hill, our toddler was able to walk most of it.

Cute trail, not too long. There are parking lots on both ends of the trail. I parked at the top lot above the waterfall and it was a short walk to the falls. I went with my dog on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Lots of people with dogs and children. There are lots of spots that you can go down to the stream and sit and hangout. This is a super cool spot! I will definitely be going back in the future.
