This is such a nice escape in the city! We did the big loop with a double stroller( but it’s more of a jogging stroller) it was so beautiful and a great workout! After that, we checked out the new wooden playground. The downside is that there is no real bathroom , only the porta potty. Hopefully they will renovate and open the restrooms soon. And also, it’s a little bit hard to get to the playground with the stroller.

Top 5 best parks in Richmond. in my opinion, it needs restrooms to be installed around the lake. Cameras need to be installed as well but the picnic area next to forest Hill avenue looks like the perfect place to bring your blanket and Play with your kids

Great new playground, lots of shaded areas including places for parents to sit. Climbing opportunities for kids, slides, swings, musical toys and a merry go round.

Great place for long walks on multiple trails or shorter walks on lesser trails. A creeks runs through here and you can rock hop. Theres also pond and picnic tables. Dogs are allowed on leash. There's a pickle ball court. Sometimes they have music here on the large open lawn area and normally a farmers market on the weekend w parking nearby. Very well kept.

Beautiful park on the Southside of Richmond. They are currently restoring it to its former glory. Lots of trails and a lake. Trails can be moderately challenging and hilly so wear good shoes and watch for roots. Also, watch out for bikes because they come flying by with little regard for pedestrians... If you're looking down at your phone whilst walking, there's a high change you may collide. Overall, a great park. Can't wait to see the finished construction project.
