Such a fun garden to explore. February is a hard month to visit botanical gardens, but this one was still engaging. Loved the large Japanese garden with its winding paths and rustling bamboo. The boardwalk area is an educational dream. Loved the interactive display on the sounds of wildlife and the natives v. invasives areas. Don't sleep on the Fernery - it's the sweetest area with a great collection.

I’ve been here in several occasions and always have a great time. The gardens are very big but not too big to get lost. They provide you with a map when you get there and there are different sections with different themes. The butterfly garden the last couple years is so cool and I definitely recommend going for it! The butterflies are there from other countries. Some land even land on you while you’re in there. I took off a star because it doesn’t look as pretty here in the spring time and everything is mostly still dead. I have been here for the lights in the winter though and it’s really cool to see! During the winter, they also have bar stands where you can get spiked hot coco, egg nog, etc. It doesn’t really matter whether you buy tickets in advance or not. You have to check in at the counter regardless and it will take just as long.

Last time I visited was about 10 years ago. The Japanese garden was separate. I love that they have combined them, but miss being able to enter on that side. They do have a shuttle that runs about every 20-30 min which is nice. It wasn't too long of a walk, but is uphill most of the way... LITERALLY WORTH EVERY STEP TO GO SEE THAT PART OF THE GARDENS!! The Koi fish are BEAUTIFUL AND GIANT!! they used to let you feed them but I couldn't find a spot where you could buy food anymore... They may have been getting overfed because it was definitely a sight to see... I WILL ALWAYS GO BACK! EVEN IN THE WINTER after a freak snow storm it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Dog Days was so much fun! So peaceful and the garden was well kept! The foliage was an incredible view. Water bowls across the park was really thoughtful. Plenty of parking when I arrived at 11am . Walked the whole garden and it was about 3 miles round trip! The musical swing sets was wonderful to see! Fresh air with remarkable views i truly recommend.

Even though it was off season it doesn't matter. This place had beautiful flowers and grounds that'll make your heart skip a beat. I'm just sorry I didn't get to see the grounds during Christmas time. Just walking through the area makes your heart feel lighter. I will be back..and soon.
