Beautiful area on the creek and nice little playground for older kids.

Small but functional. Has a creek so a little dangerous for toddlers.

Cute ducks, pretty pond. However there is no bathroom!

Beautiful park but you'll still see dogs off leash and people smoking even though dogs are supposed to be on leash and it's supposed to be smoke free

San Mateo creek is on one side of the park. It's home to resident ducks where families bring kids to feed the ducks. There is no parking lot or bathrooms at this neighborhood Park with kids play ground, grassy fields, picnic tables and a large concrete gazebo. Never crowded but usually occupied by a few Moms and kids, bicyclist or dog walkers. Nice crowd. Water flows in creek even in drought due to the water that is released by the Crystal Springs Dam into the San Mateo Creek. Crystal Springs Reservoir is where San Francisco's and the Northern Peninsula get their drinking water. As in all parks in the City of San Mateo, there is a No Smoking ordinance and I’ve heard that it’s about a $400+ fine. Park is patrolled by both SMPD and “Park Rangers”. Opened 6am-10pm. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR DOG OWNERS--- Dog owners: Leash your dogs! One of the birds, a white one twice the size of ducks that has been there for years was killed by an unleashed dog. Shame on that owner that brings discredit to dog owners in general. Not to mention their dog killed wildlife that people enjoyed seeing around. You are an irresponsible person.
