The playground portion is fairly small compared to other parks, and there's not as much for the littlest kids, but it was still a good time. There are 2 sections targeted toward different ages. The 2-5 playground is very minimal with just a small slide and a rope ladder grid to climb up. The 5-12 playground has unique things to climb on like ropes and rock wall thing. There is also a swing set, with 2 regular swings and 1 bigger rope/net swing that can hold 1+ kids. They also have the spinny seats and a balancing circle. I really like that the whole playground area is pretty enclosed because there is a fence along the whole parking lot side, then fenced baseball fields on the other side, which should be great for gatherings and for parents of "runners" haha. There are enough grass and trees around the playground for kids to be able run and play, but it's not so big that you'd be worried about your kid getting too far away. The trees don't provide a whole lot of shade, so it depends on the time of day if you'll get any shade. The bathrooms are pretty close too. I love that the pavilion is very close to the playground. It has around 10 tables, multiple outlets, and 4 grills. The roof/awning/cover for the pavilion is also nice and provides good cover. It is one of the cheaper pavilions I've seen for reserving, especially for Murray residents. It worked really well for my toddler's birthday party, and I'll probably reserve it again!

A fun park with unique playground equipment! We go to lots of parks and it was nice to have something new for the kids to play on. The covered pavilion was the perfect place for our family birthday party!

Wonderful. Accessable to the freeway and other services! Park was clean, felt private. Good closeish bathrooms. I had a great time visiting this park to play kickball.

We love Grant Park! This is definitely not the parks fault, but I’m strictly giving 4 stars rather than 5 because some of the people who attend the park have been weird + rude. We take our dog every week to run around in one of the baseball diamonds and she LOVES it! It is perfect for the doggies who don’t have a large backyard, and want a place to run around freely but also maybe can’t quite yet be trusted off-leash. Every time we have gone, we’ve seen a maintenance crew cleaning bathrooms so I can only assume they’re well taken care of. Some individuals refuse to pick up after their dogs, but you kind of get that anywhere you go. Highly recommend, but go early in the warm months otherwise dogs will fill all the diamonds!

I grew up near this park and recently visited with my toddler. We had a blast! The northeast corner of the park features a playground, rated for children ages 2-5. It also has a pavilion that can be reserved but is usually unused. There are also indoor bathrooms near the playground, but they are usually locked during little league offseason. The remainder of the park consists of four baseball diamonds which are kept in great shape and are available for open-play (no reservations required.) Big pines line the diamonds and make for great picnic spots. The diamonds are also fenced in, making it easier to take your pets out for some safe off leash exercise. During the warmer months, the park supports baseball from T-Ball age to young teenager Little League baseball. The snack shack sells goodies and food and you can catch all the action from the bleachers around the diamonds.
