Have ridden my bike on the trail from Waterworks Park as far north as Tipp City. This is an excellent trail for biking and hiking. The parts along the river and old canal are especially nice. Pavement is a little rough between Trenton and Franklin but the scenery is so nice. Highly recommend.

Had a great time on this bike path! Went with my son and we had a nice long ride and it was relaxing. Went up to the 5.0 Mile mark which was past the Middletown river center. It was nice to have that place to stop at to top off air in our tires, refill our bottles use the restroom and stop for a little break from riding. 🙂

Unfortunately, the path is not suited for any type of road bicycle in its current state. There are large cracks (2-3 inches in width) across the path every 50 feet that haven’t been properly repaired. I assume these were cut to be expansion joints or potentially have always been there from when the path was poured. The path is nearly unusable for most bikes. By foot or potentially with a mountain bike I’m sure it’s great. Hopefully, the trail is fixed soon.

Nice place to access the Miami river trail. When the water is low you can also explore the river bed. Be on the watch for needles especially if you have kids or dogs with you . Seen some on the ground among other trash.

I was looking for a decent spot to park and ride my bike so this spot was a nice find as it had a decent amount of parking and not too busy on a Saturday. I took the trail north from here and it was mostly flat which made for a easy paced ride. It does get a bit hot since there was not too tree cover but being right by the river there was a good breeze going. This breeze did effect the power needed on the way back 😅 but all in all a good experience.
