Perfect walk for seniors. The paved trails offer a wonderful scenic walk through woods that are rapidly disappearing in our community. The old oaks preserved in one area are reminiscent of my youth growing up in the south Wilmington area playing games, fishing and some squirrel hunting in a big forest of scrub oaks and pines. The playground equipment is enviable to those of us who have aged out of playing but they are a well designed safe place for children of all ages. Needless to say, l am fan and user of the park.

We absolutely love this park. The highlights for us are how spacious it is (plenty of available parking, you don't feel like you're elbow to elbow with people constantly throughout your time on the trail), it's so clean (not once have we ever seen trash outside of the can), and the scenery is just so nice!

Overall, great new park with a fun playground for all ages with a large owl play structure that includes a slide and climbing underneath/inside. Several nature inspired climbing ropes and structures and a large see-saw. No swings, currently no shade at the playground and sadly a decent walk to the restrooms. Nice paved 1.25 mile walking path through nature. Great place to meet up for a walk!

Neat little park right off Carolina Beach Road. Lots of wide walking paths with wooden bridges. Beautiful cypress trees (although I was surprised and disappointed that they saw into on to put in a bridge, esp when they could have just moved the bridge over 1'). Dog park, kids play area with a giant owl that looks to us like it'd cook some kids in the hot weather. Overall very nice especially for hiking thru the Carolina Pine forests. Not a ton of parking.

The parking lot placed in the neighborhood brings horrible traffic, unsafe drivers and pet owners, people constantly walking in the middle of the road and people speeding to get here. People litter in the yards of this neighborhood on their walk to the park, the gate is never shut despite the signs suggesting it should be locked from night to morning, they destroyed all the nature and habitats of animals that did live there before construction. Its a constant annoyance for many of those who have to live next to it, this place need to either be regulated and watched better or closed. The dog area is just a sand pit thats fenced in, no directions or water fountains anywhere. Begging people to stop rating this park so high when truly we were better off without it.
