Read more about Long Leaf Park PlaygroundClaude Howell Park is a small but symbolically important pocket park on Wilmington’s Riverwalk, created to honor local painter and arts advocate Claude Howell and to provide a bit of green respite along the redeveloped Cape Fear waterfront. Its story is tied both to Howell’s life in downtown Wilmington and to the broader transformation of the riverfront from working port to tourist and cultural corridor.
Read more about Claude Howell ParkMy favorite park! It’s huge. Lots of paved walking areas(some near the road so there is traffic noise) Mostly quiet. Two buildings with bathrooms. Areas for basketball, a huge playground for kids, several pavilions to use for parties and so many areas to relax. It could use a few more benches in some areas.
