My favorite park! It’s huge. Lots of paved walking areas(some near the road so there is traffic noise) Mostly quiet. Two buildings with bathrooms. Areas for basketball, a huge playground for kids, several pavilions to use for parties and so many areas to relax. It could use a few more benches in some areas.

This park is delightful. We visited while on vacation. We found it serendipitously. There are sidewalks but you can walk anywhere across the expansive areas. There is plenty of room for people to relax, read and rest. The dog park was well laid out with separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. There are lots of trees including the amazing loblolly pines with lots of pine cones. I collected cones for a wreath. This is a great place for birding. We saw at least 10 species in only about 20 minutes.

This park is absolutely amazing! Stunning pine trees are known for air purifying properties. Although I don’t have little kids I loved the playground they have built. Also a “playground” for big kids/adults. A very nice playground for dogs. There is a little pond with koi fish and turtles. I even spotted a Muscovy duck, which is native to Central/ South America, but domesticated in North America. I still can’t wrap my mind around it- what this exotic duck doing here? Alone in the park.

Great place for just about any activity! Pretty flowers and many paths throughout the park. Dog friendly!
