Good spot to walk your leashed dog. The city doesn't provide bags for dog poop so bring your own. We pickup trash in the playground everytime we walk. The littering seems to peak when there's soccer games. 2023 update - frequent illegal camping, drug needles littered around, alcohol and beer bottles in the pavilion, dog poop everywhere 2025- MPD patrols a bit more often and there's less camping. The city installed dog bag posts but doesn't refill consistently.
The park is nice but the terrible Murray police think it's perfectly safe to train agressive dogs exactly right next to the children's play area almost as if they were hoping a child would come too close and get themselves hurt by those dogs.
It's a nice little park. Decent playground and we use the tennis courts quite a bit. Great place to take our dog to run around. But I wish everyone would be more considerate and pick up their dogs poop.
This is a nice park. We had a family gathering here and it has a lot to do
Overall this facility has all the components of a good park but the layout leaves a lot to be desired. The line of sight from the "soccer" field to the playground area is not optimal to keep an eye on both a game and younger kids at the playground. There's a wall in the playground area where the height varies from what I would guess to be 4' to 6' high. The wall entices kids of all ages to jump off of it. Which I'm sure at minimum has led to minor injuries and hopefully not to more serious ones. In any event it's just not conducive to enjoying both a game and young children playing safely without direct supervision and missing the game.
