Attended the Pittsburgh Zoo Wild Illuminations: A Holiday Lanterns Experience on 11/25/2025 with friends. The rain did not keep us away. As you can see by the few pictures, it was a beautiful experience!

Decided to go for a walk in the park today, and was saddened when I seen all the trash in the water & the along the shore of the pond. INCLUDING a fishing line with a HOOK and bait still on it HANGING from a tree. It scared me for the ducks and any other creature that dwells in this habitat. This is NOT SAFE! The people doing this is despicable, but even WORSE The City of Pittsburgh Public Works, The City of Pittsburgh Public Parks, Whoever is responsible for maintenance needs to do better! CLEAN UP! KEEP THE ANIMALS SAFE! KEEP THE PARKS CLEAN! KEEP THE EARTH LOOKING BEAUTIFUL!

The Jack-O-Lantern Extravaganza at the Zoo was pretty amazing! My son loves the Zoo anyway, but this was a cool additional thing to do.

I recommend this place for a nice picnic date, or just to hangout. It is a clean park to go with friends, family or just by yourself. Bring your own snacks and drinks because there are no vendors around. The breeze was amazing! Definitely will go again. So peaceful and calm.

Had a good time. Some parts closed for evening activities that you have to pay extra for. The restroom at the entrance was shut down the whole day so we had to walk to a building a little ways in, that made it very inconvenient for those of us who had a longer drive there and needed to go, especially for the kids. It was the first day of Zoo Boo so it was packed. It was fun to see all the costumes!!
