Great public park for families and kids. The playground is clean, safe, and well maintained, with plenty of equipment to keep children entertained. There’s lots of open space to run and play, shaded areas for parents to relax, and a friendly, peaceful atmosphere. Perfect spot for family outings, picnics, and letting kids enjoy the outdoors. Highly recommended.

I hadn't been to this park in a couple of years when geocaching brought be back. Some really nice trails, with exercise stations, and that playground was full of kids having a great time. Only one of the sports fields in use, but plenty of room for games. I liked the trail around the playground that was planned for families. I was checking out the signs with suggestions for parents, and realized I did all of that with my kids, and watch them do it with my grandkids. Great lessons for both!

This is a great playground with a good variety of play areas. There is a sand pit, lots of swings, a hillside with a slide at the top and several different playscapes. There are even swings for the adults. Plenty of shade. My boys also brought along a basketball and played on the courts for awhile. I noticed there are bathrooms at the park but we did not visit them so I can't attest to their cleanliness. We visited around 11am on a Thursday morning and the playground was packed. This is obviously a very popular playground. Plenty of close parking.

I recently visited the updated playground with high hopes, but unfortunately, I left feeling quite disappointed. While the idea of new equipment is exciting, the execution seems to have fallen short in several key areas. My most significant concern is the apparent lack of durability. Shockingly, multiple pieces of equipment already appear to be falling apart. This raises serious questions about the quality of the materials used and the safety of the play area for children. Furthermore, I was dismayed to see that the updates have negatively impacted accessibility. The slides, which were previously accessible via ramps, now only have stairs and climbing structures. This change effectively excludes children with mobility challenges, making the playground less inclusive than it was before. This is a significant step backward in providing a space for all children to enjoy. Adding to these issues, the turf installed on the hill is already showing signs of wear and tear. Large sections are lifting and peeling away, creating obvious and dangerous tripping hazards for children running and playing. Overall, the recent updates to the playground are a major letdown. Instead of an improved and safer space, we are left with poorly constructed equipment, reduced accessibility, and new safety hazards. I sincerely Chesterfield will address these significant issues promptly to ensure a safe and inclusive play environment for all children in our community.

Huguenot park is great, walking trails, shelters with picnic tables, soccer fields, playground, volleyball, basketball courts and tennis courts. The area for improvement would be tennis courts, they need resurfacing and new lights.
