Big park at the western outskirts of Anchorage. What’s special an out it is that there are world class Nordic skiing trails and hiking trails. I came late afternoon to see moose, but ended up gazing at the cool sunset glow to the west on one of the many benches that are on hill elevations. Early morning was a Nordic ski race taking place at the socccer stadium. Very cool!

If you're hoping to spy moose, this is the place to do it! A beautiful expansive Park with a long drive and ample parking. There are lovely trails to walk. And ample lighting said that you can see what you're doing in the dark hours of the fall and winter. We Came Upon moose lying in a field and also walking along the fence line of the drive it wasn't easy to get to the water from the park however. We didn't find a great place to catch the sunset from Kincaid Park. Very close to the airport and easy to get to. There was a lot of Light interference from the parking area, which made it hard to catch the Northern Lights from Kincaid Park, but admittedly we didn't walk very far from the parking lot. Highly recommend.

Great park for sledding. We had a great time here. Awesome view of the sea and the mountains too.

Kincaid Park is one of the best places in Anchorage! Beautiful trails, amazing views of Cook Inlet and the mountains, and even chances to see moose and eagles. It’s peaceful, clean, and perfect for hiking, biking, or just enjoying nature. Sunset here is absolutely stunning!

This is a very beautiful park. We went to play disc golf for our first time, everyone was very friendly and was out just enjoying the day too. People had their dogs off leash and on leash we did not have any problems with either, very well behaved. They did have Warning posted all around where a Moose just had her baby to be aware and stay away from the area. We did not run into her but others did see her and advised others not to go that way.
