This park makes for a nice walk around the lake as you are almost guaranteed to see coots, Canadian geese, maybe an osprey, and numerous other birds. There are usually people fishing, dog walkers, and it is a great place for a picnic. There is also a very nice playground and access to the walking path by the canal

Kiwanis Park in Tempe is an absolute gem! It’s the perfect spot for relaxation, outdoor fun, and family time. The lake is beautiful—great for paddle boating, fishing, or just enjoying the peaceful view. The park is always clean, well-maintained, and filled with friendly people. There’s so much to do: biking, walking, playing tennis, or enjoying the large playgrounds. The sports fields are top-notch, and the shaded picnic areas make it ideal for gatherings. Sunsets here are stunning, especially by the water. I love how this park balances nature and activity so perfectly. Truly one of Tempe’s best places to unwind!

This is a fun place to take the kids. Park is free and the wave pool and other stuff is good price. Can easily spend a whole day here.

Kiwanis Park is a great local spot if you're nearby. It has a nice walking trail around the lake that's about a mile long, plus running and biking trails along the exterior loops where you can get in around 5 miles. The park is pretty clean overall—they seem to clean the lake about every two weeks, which helps keep it looking nice. There are areas for kids to play, and the big highlight coming soon is the brand-new dog park opening on May 31st. It’s shaping up to be the best dog park I’ve found in the city! It’ll have separate areas for large and small dogs (which most parks around here don’t bother with), plus an agility training area—which is super rare. Can’t wait for the opening day! Me and my pups will definitely be there.

I visited Kiwanis Park in Tempe — it’s a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for families, walking, or relaxing by the lake. There are wide green areas and a calm atmosphere, especially nice around sunset
