What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
This park makes for a nice walk around the lake as you are almost guaranteed to see coots, Canadian geese, maybe an osprey, and numerous other birds. There are usually people fishing, dog walkers, and it is a great place for a picnic. There is also a very nice playground and access to the walking path by the canal
Read more about Kiwanis ParkThe dog park is in and next to a "sports center" but parking is usually not bad. The actual dog part is huge. Quite a few owners throw balls and other accessories for their pups to fetch. So there is usually a lot of running around. Keep in mind there isn't a separation by sizes at the park. There is a pavilion to sit and maybe half a dozen benches. There is some shade as you can tell by the pics but it mostly is a sunny are.
Read more about Tempe Sports Complex Dog ParkWe had our first visit today during the afternoon, and its an okay dog park. Im sure once there's more dogs to play with its an enjoyable time. The "adventure area" behind the dog park is beautiful but FILLED with broken glass shards everywhere. We did explore around the rocks and caves but its so sad to see the area littered with broken glass.
Read more about Papago Bark ParkThis dog park is great. Mostly clean until closer to Wednesday (cleaning hours 6am-1pm). People are friendly as are their pets, hardly a fight between pets ever. I like to come here multiple times a week with my two dogs. Morning(after the sun comes up) isn't as busy as the evening(430pm to dark).
