The dog park is in and next to a "sports center" but parking is usually not bad. The actual dog part is huge. Quite a few owners throw balls and other accessories for their pups to fetch. So there is usually a lot of running around. Keep in mind there isn't a separation by sizes at the park. There is a pavilion to sit and maybe half a dozen benches. There is some shade as you can tell by the pics but it mostly is a sunny are.

My favorite dog park within semi-reasonable driving distance, this park is enormous, has a cement walking path right inside the park, and enough shade. There are also some picnic tables undercover If you are silly enough to bring food into a dog park. Mostly people just hang and talk. This dog park mixes small and large dogs, and occasionally there will be a dog who thinks my small dog is prey. Dog owners are particularly careful in the park for this reason. There's one big boxer whose owner and I have this problem, and usually one of us leaves the park - whoever has already been there for a while or whatever. Picture is my dog, not the park. I don't have any today.

Clean for a dog park, convenient, quiet and friendly. Nice neighborhood dog park! Pooper scoopers and garbage cans, doggie water bowls. Even found a dog with a pink Mohawk!

The human facilities at Tempe Sports Complex are great—plenty of space for tennis, skating, basketball, and soccer. However, the dog park is extremely disappointing. It’s essentially a fenced-in dirt lot where dogs go to relieve themselves. There’s no separation between small and large dogs, which creates a safety issue, and unfortunately, the big dogs causing problems are usually the ones that don’t leave. It’s misleading to even call this a dog park—it feels more like an afterthought. If you’re looking for a real space for your pup to play safely, this isn’t it.

Huge dog park. Owners do a pretty good job cleaning up after their pets. pretty clean compared to other parks I've been to. Dog always enjoy socializing and running around all the different breeds. A lot of trees and shade.
