Absolutely love walking/running here. Also see many people biking or walking their dogs, that would be the only thing to watch out for be aware the sidewalks are marked keep right to stay with traffic and watch out for dog poop shmears, most people are good about trying to pick up after their dogs. Stunning sunsets and moon rises can be seen from both directions. You can always find a bench to sit or stretch, very nicely taken care of paths run through this area.

State park right next to west cliff drive. It has walking trails and a few benches. One bathroom which still seems in poor shape. Parking can be tight if it’s a weekend or holiday or if “surfs up.”

It’s an excellent miniature lighthouse with a museum on the first floor. Light house over looks the Pacific Ocean with cylindrical tubular Konbu floating out at sea. There was a surfing competition for teens on the day i went to this light house. There are numerous venues in local area such as Theme Park and Rides along with UC Santa Cruz. If you are interested in Redwoods in the area, you can check out Muir Wood state park.

We are from the east coast and I don’t know of any dog beaches there. This was our first time at a dog beach and my dogs were in heaven! There’s only one way in/out which is some stairs so I felt my dogs were safe to run around. All the dogs there were very well behaved and having the time of their lives. We will definitely be back!

Always a favorite stop to watch the surf and feel the rush of ocean air. My dog also loves to play here and walk around the park. Great surf here if you're really good! Or just take a nice stroll through the forest area at the park and you'll encounter all sorts of goodness 😀
