Lorain County Dog Kennel

Lcdk is an amazing facility. They have to are take in any and all dogs that are picked up by the wardens. The staff is amazing and their volunteers are incredible! Sadly, they cannot every dog every time, but what they can do is truly amazing

It seems like as of lately they are always full. So if you are looking for a dog they are a great place to stop in and look. Or if you have lost your dog, try here. The workers are kind. I have 4 kids and they let us all walk back and take a look. They are quite responsible as well, there was a dog that we were interested in but she was still not adjusting to being there and to avoid possibly hurting someone they said we can look but not touch and no meet and greet. I think this is wonderful that they don't risk the dogs life or possibly injury to people. I've been to places that just didnt care. It wasn't a good situation to say the least.

I am very thankful for this place. Over two years ago I adopted a brindle male APBT from here and he has been through everything with me ever since. He was a little weird when I met him and he seemed like he was confused. The second I got him in my truck he opened up and has been the most affectionate dog in the world ever since. Great with strangers and kids, and he even has a new best friend. Thank you to the staff. If you are able to adopt, it is always a good option!

I adopted a beautiful German Shepherd from here for the low cost of just $106. She is well mannered and so full of love. I am so lucky to have gotten her and I am honored to give her a new home. We had a very good experience with the staff during the adoption process.

Came here to find a puppy, and the staff was amazing, from the employees to the volunteers. The facilities were clean and spacious compared to other rescues I've been to, and there was zero pressure to get a dog. 1000000/10 would recommend this place to friends and family
