This might be my favorite park in LA! It’s gorgeous, spacious, home to wildlife and human activities alike! Has one of the best views of the city skyline, with plenty of trails to walk. Great for group out door activities, solo runs, and nature lovers. This park often hosts big events like music or food festivals so keep your eye out because you do not want to be having a picnic or quiet nature walk with EDM blasting your ears out. (Unless that’s your thing ) I believe this is national park and wildlife habitat as well. All around the most idyllic park I’ve been to in LA. Cheers !

This is my neighborhood park, and I love it. However, I found out today that they use Flock cameras to monitor the main entrance and exit. These cameras look like solar panels, but they’re actually cameras pointed inside the park to surveil people enjoying a public space. Why are we being recorded by a private company building a surveillance state that shares data with ICE and law enforcement?

Nice space. Everyone enjoying themselves playing soccer or setting out blankets and tanning 😎, walking their dogs, new parents having couples dates and bringing their baby and their small cute dogs. Musician playing great harmonica/guitar

Nearby, we headed over to the LA State Historic Park. Even though the sun had started to beat down, it was actually nice and cool under the shade of the tree. One of the main draw of the Los Angeles State Historic Park is that you’re able to enjoy great views of the LA city Skyline here. There were also free toilets and water fountains here. Probably also why many homeless would wash up here in the morning as we observed... For the full review and details of our 5 months Round The World (RTW) travels, visit 2bearbear today!
