My dog really loves this beautiful park! There’s so much greenery and shade, a lovely path and boardwalk, and even a clean bubbler for humans and dogs! There was also a place to shower your dogs, though we didn’t check it out. There was so much breeze even on a hot day. It felt like we were strolling a beautiful woods in a fairytale book. We highly recommend McFarland dog park!

This place is amazing. Great view of the sunrise, 2 different fenced in areas (1 small & 1 large) bathrooms, indoor & outdoor dog washing station plus a maze of trails to walk your dog on leash.

One of the best dog parks in Dane County! This dog park as two fenced areas (small dog area and main area). The main area has nice walking paths with a couple of wide open spaces for dogs to run. Best of all, this dog park wooded, so you’re fairly well shaded from the sun during the summer and sheltered from the wind on cold days during the winter. There is also drinking fountain (with spouts for people and dogs), restrooms, and a dog wash station.

This is probably the best dog park I've been to in the Madison area yet! It's like you're taking a walk in the woods, it's peaceful and quiet, and all you hear is the lovely wildlife. Traffic and other noise is minimal since it's right on the edge of the country and shares borders with Urso Park. I first went on a Friday evening at about 6:30pm and there were a few other dogs/families there, but because of all the different secluded areas, we were quickly alone, which my dog sometimes needs to focus on playing fetch and training activities. There are benches throughout the park, which is a huge plus, and it's the perfect size with plenty of space but not too big that it's miles long. There's also a smaller fenced in area at the front by the parking if you don't want to/can't walk through the full park. The dog wash station is an amazing feature. The outdoor one is basic and probably mostly used for quick rinses of muddy paws. The indoor one is a full station with a raised bath with steps, places to attach a leash on the walls, a big enough room to have more than one dog and a couple people working on washing, and a broom/squeegee to clean up. The water is the perfect temperature and has good pressure to easily and quickly rinse out loose fur and shampoo. Unfortunately, there's no hooks to hang your bag of supplies/towels, so just be prepared to bring a bag/items you don't mind getting dirty/wet. It also does not have a dryer. I do appreciate the security camera in the room as well, makes me feel a little better if I ever have to go alone. My dog absolutely loved this park, and even went a little crazy trying to sniff out chipmunks and squirrels! Will definitely be adding this park to our list of favorites!

The dogs can run around freely and they provide bowls of water for when your dog gets tired from all of the running space! They have room for you to sit on a bench and watch your dog play with other dogs. They also have a mini playground for your dog. It's all fenced in and perfect for throwing a frisbee for your dog!
