It seemed like a nice park that could turn shady real fast. Graffiti everywhere.

It's good if your kid want to play but after the basketball court there is like a graffiti and broken glass

Had a great time planting trees with Friends of Trees in the park and surrounding neighborhood.

This park is nostalgic of days long ago when it was safe to be there. These days not so much. But... If your not a chicken and know how to mind your own business it's not so bad. I go there to hit golf balls cause it has a pretty large field. I must note that during the rainy season a raft or something that floats is a good idea. Rubber boots at least. The grounds are picked up it seems like once a month but I'm sure it's done more often but the people who go there to save money on garbage service keep it plenty ful of litter. The playground has had a tent set up right next to It but as long as your kids don't tresspass on the tent owners property it should be ok. The one out house has no Lock making the holes melted in the walls useless due to the fact that people that want to peak in, cause I see no other reason for the holes, could just look in the door that does not close all the way. I must note that the Salem police do patrol the park, I'm thinking looking for specific people, by way of driving from one entrance of the park thru the park itself to the other entrance. Found that a bit unsafe if not odd at the least. I would say Salem needs to seriously update this park or sell the property and be done with what has to be a money sink hole.
