A small, but hidden gem. I think it's a beautiful park no matter what season and it's always worth going there. However, if one spends two hours there, one has already taken most of the trails there.
Mittineague Park West Springfield, MA October 2024 I heard of this place and I knew it was in West Springfield but I still cannot pronounce it. My church held a big event there. We all gathered under a great big open but roofed area near a lake and with lots of tall trees and open area for the kids to play. I spoke to many people there about the upcoming election and life in Western Mass for the Chinese there. We had so many people with so much food and we all had so much fun. There were sack races and other games that I did not participate in. We had a photography guy come and everyone got great pictures with the beautiful colorful leafy background. What a great place, what a great location and what a great time had by all. Thanks Mittineague Park!
This place is beautiful during the summer and during the winter, hot weather or cold weather. It is my "go to" place when it snows a lot and once gets a bit hot, too. It has different trails you can walk and it is not a difficult walk. A train travels through the back and you can see the trails. It even has a lake you can see from the trails. You can take your dogs, too. They also have picnic areas.
Beautiful park. Great walk. Saw deer. There's a bear too but don't try to pet him
Our town's beautiful park. Areas to walk, sit and relax, explore the woods and even picnic.
