It's a pretty good park, once you get over the constant cameras recording and mall cops being told to bother students towards the end of the day. It's also a great place to meet up when you're looking for friends or missed connections. It's easy to find, and plenty of room to have a picnic or something. Generally, it's a nice place with good energy and good memories: :^]

If you don’t mind a parking challenge Monroe park is a great place with some green space right in the heart of VCU. There’s always something cool going on as was the case with this Halloween parade a few weeks back. Definitely a great place to walk, read, or even people watch :p

Such a beautiful park. The fountain really ties it together. Places to sit on the grass and benches. Close by food spots. You got it all. Bring a book, your laptop for a movie, do your homework, bring your friends or pets… such a cute spot.

I experienced the 2024 Mobile Soul Sunday event in Monroe Park and it was a great time! Food trucks, vendors, local radio stations and a whole lot of Richmond were in attendance! It was a lot chilly and very windy but I still thoroughly enjoyed myself! No incidents or chaos! Just a really good time! That park was clean and well manicured. There were some chairs and a few tables for sitting throughout and also a hot chocolate/ coffee stand! Thanks, RVA!!
