One of the most beautiful trails to run or bike on in the valley, especially when the sun rises. On a clear day you have the majestic Wasatch mountain vista on one side, and the copper mine on the other. There are often herds of antelope and deer in the fields. I haven’t encountered a mountain lion yet, but there have been sightings near Herriman. I hope they preserve the open space here on the west bench.
If you are entering from the 5400 S parking lot it is a nice simple walk with great views on nice days. Heading south towards 6200 S is a simple mostly level walk. If you walk down to Lonestone park and back it is approximately 3 miles. Heading north from the 5400 south parking lot and walking over the pedestrian bridge; just know you'll be walking up hill on the way back almost the entire way.
This is a great trail to walk, run, bike, etc. on. I love going here and walking with my dog and just kind of having it to ourselves for the most part. The views of the mountains and the valley are pretty nice from this trail. I love this trail and would recommend it to others.
This is a lovely trailhead that connects to mountain view. Features a bike fix it station and some exercise machines. Nice landscape as well. This gets a 5 star review.
Mountain View Corridor is a great passage to avoid so many stop lights and residential distractions in daytime I do avoid the corridor at night because it is still so dark in parts of it. Needs more light a few miles before Porter Rockwell in Herriman. The lighting is improving but I still basically avoid that roadway at night because of the patches of dark . Is beautiful day and night view along 5400 south through 4100 south. Excited when 4100 south to 2100 south becomes complete.👍
