What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
The mountain bike trails just officially opened, and they're fun! As an adaptive rider I was able to navigate most of the trails independently, and enjoyed them. Everything is really close. The bathrooms weren't in the best condition. There also wasn't a lot of accessible parking. Since it is a young park the trees are small, so there isn't a lot of shade. The playground looked really great, and the girls and pavilion are very large.
Read more about Lodestone ParkOne of the most beautiful trails to run or bike on in the valley, especially when the sun rises. On a clear day you have the majestic Wasatch mountain vista on one side, and the copper mine on the other. There are often herds of antelope and deer in the fields. I haven’t encountered a mountain lion yet, but there have been sightings near Herriman. I hope they preserve the open space here on the west bench.
Read more about Mountain View Corridor Trail ConnectorPlenty of space, and two separate areas to go for med/large dogs and a dedicated small dog space. People bring large jugs of water for when running water is shut off in the winter. Great place to walk around while the dogs play in sight. Rarely busy in the afternoon.
Read more about West Jordan Off-Leash Dog ParkFairmont is my preferred dog park ‘cause it has ample shade, grass through most of the park (well-maintained so little issue with mud), double-gated entrances, and a few tunnels/bridges for them to play with.
