What dog owners are saying

AWESOME!! If you want an uplifting place to bring a dog, this is it. Super affordable. Absolutely spotless! And helpful, too. My recently-adopted dog is not accustomed to being on a leash, which has made things challenging. And the owner of Desert Dog Oasis was a big help. She gave us personal attention and made it easy to introduce my dog to other dogs and to the concept of a dog park. The owners care about their customers and are dedicated to providing a comfortable environment for everybody. These folks will do as much as they can to help. The dogs love playing in the tunnels and on the agility equipment. After our first visit, I can see my dog is more confident and relaxed. If you have any dog challenges, I recommend this place as a resource of information and help. And it's also great to meet other dog owners - there's comfortable seating so people can hang out while their dogs play and it's a really fun environment. They also have daycare. My dog and my family will all be happier because of this place...this is a gem in St. George!!!
Read more about Desert Dog OasisThis is a great family friendly area that is perfect for kids to explore. The maze of garden paths with dinosaur tracks was well kept and there were many peaceful, thoughtful places to sit and enjoy the plants and wildlife. The red rocks have numerous little caves and areas to climb and sit. The view of Saint George and the temple at sunset are beautiful. A lot of us brought a picnic dinner to watch the sunset and the hike down in the dark was safe with a small flashlight. The pioneer rim trail is an easy hike that is also good for mountain biking.
Read more about Pioneer ParkThis is a really nice park that was recommended to me by one of my friends at work. Perfect place to come hang out for an hour. They have permanent horseshoes, they have legitimate workout equipment, croquet lawn with the best fake grass I've ever seen, 4 permanent corn hole things, there is lots of seating available whether you’re with a small group or by yourself there’s an appropriate place to hang out. Looks like they got some bocce courts here as well. you can see how big the wash might get sometimes by the size of the bridges that border this park. This whole neighborhood looks to be pretty new. Only drawback is how close to the I15 it is but they have a sound wall up and it works really well... at least here at the park it does. They’re going to be right across the freeway from big shots whenever that’s finally done, quick easy commute to Mesquite on the I 15. Very cool little area, I will be coming here for lunch often. Bring your own bean bags, horseshoes, etc..
Read more about Atkinville Wash ParkThis is a great place for family gatherings, children to go and play and let some energy out, have little events, BBQ on a sunny Sunday afternoon, or even play at the pickleball and/or volleyball courts. It's dog friendly, as long as you keep your furry friends on a leash, and clean-up your mess after them. There are places to plug in and charge your phone or plug in a bluetooth speaker or laptop when you want to get out and take your electronics with you, all while sitting on the bench tables in the shade, if you look hard enough you'll find a perfect spot. The restrooms have ample space, but it's separate women/men restrooms and not unisex/private bathrooms. The bulk of the park appears to be wheelchair accessible. Plenty of trash cans, so that you can take your refuse with you (and not litter the park). There is City of St George (public) Wi-Fi nearby, but it seemed reasonably spotty in most areas of the park that I ventured around. I'm guessing it's coming from the Recreation (rec) center across the street and not actually broadcasting at the park. There is ample sidewalks for taking a nice Sunday stroll or riding little scooters. I saw a few people scooter riding and walking their dogs or kids in a stroller. It has ample room for people to move in both directions on the sidewalk. Therw is ample parking with a parking lot on the side by the pickleball courts. It looks like they do plenty of concerts/venues in the park with listings on their website as well.
