I love that this playground is mostly shaded. It also has two levels of play structures for different ages that were seemingly recently redone. There are a four swings, two young kids bucket seats and 2 regular, as well as a few picnic tables, a basketball court, and access to trails systems with a beautiful bridge above St. Charles Creek.
The park is nice but parents always let their kids bug you on the basketball court. Not a good time. If you’re an adult trying to do your own thing 10/10 would not recommend.
A fun little neighborhood playground. Thankful for the City for maintaining it so well.
I always look forward to seeing this little park in the different seasons. It has a lively energy.
The shadiest (as in least sunny) playground in Charlottesville. Parking isn't the best, but what it lacks in that department it more than makes up for in summer temperature. There's always someone playing there in the afternoon. I haven't explored the trails recently... Next time I guess.
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
