Had a blast meeting up and walking my friends dog while she played Pokémon go. I was enchanted by the pond with the ducks and swans, it was very picturesque.

Decent park. Decent size. Ground was packed stone dust, sand, and tiny gravel - not even peastone. Water bubblers, trash and bags are all present. Agility equipment was in good shape. Separate sections for large and small dogs. Very limited shade. Parking lot has seasonal portapotties.

I wanted to venture out to a new dog park so I drove over 30mins and what I found online was a little deceiving from when I arrived. I was expecting the park to have artificial turf or grassy area, as shown in attached photo of the man & woman sitting with their dog. But all I found was a park that had small stones on the Small dog side. Also found a lot of poop owners didn't pickup. Make sure you watch where you walk! Also, the water fountain did not work at all which was disappointing since it was a hot summer day. On a positive note: There is a lot of space for dogs to run around and a couple structures fun for the dogs to climb on. The shade for adults to sit had a lot of seating which was great!

This place is amazing not gonna lie! The dirt is compounded so it doesn’t get into my dogs eyes. They having running water for the pups and free trash bags in case you forget yours! But be aware there are Karen’s there that will think they own the small dog side and try to belittle your dog. But other than that this place is wonderful. They even have a place to walk your dog near the water. Highly recommended

Small dog park located in Slater Park that leaves a lot to be desired. There are separate areas for small and large dogs (with 30 lbs being the cut off), but both are pretty limited in space. No grass in either enclosure, just dirt and gravel so I can imagine it gets quite messy after some rain. There are some obstacles to keep the dogs entertained, along with water fountains and some benches under a structure providing some shade. Seems like there is a decent community involved in supporting the park based on the bulletin board by the gates, so might be better if you come often and make connections with other regulars. As someone who doesn’t live nearby and just stopping in while walking around Slater Park, I was pretty unimpressed.
