My experience here at the Peekskill dog park was amazing at first, as my dog really enjoyed having a large area to roam around. However regulars that come here make it feel unpleasant due to them having their own rules on new dogs that come here stating “they must be neutered to enter the dog park” however there is no sign posted and it makes me now feel uncomfortable going due to the regulars and there strict own self regulated rules. I have to preface this by saying my dog was alone on his side without interacting with the other dogs and it just seemed she couldn’t control her barking black lab and was angered by my dog not interacting with her dog. Just a tidbit if anyone wanted to come here and sees regulars that are here. They may impose rules that are not posted on the actual dog park rules and regulations.

Very friendly dog owners, They do watch out for one another and very attentive to see how the dogs react to one another. There is enough gated sections to separate the dogs if necessary. Fresh water when the hose is on, of course not during winter months. I enjoyed my visit with my dog. Have fun!

Amazing dog park for dogs! Unfortunately, the humans there make it suck.

The park is a little small. It does have a section for small dogs and a section for larger dogs. I find that in this park people are friendlier and more comfortable with larger breeds. There is no running water for your dogs. There are no facilities for pet owners. The park is fairly well kept and there are some toys for dogs to play with. There is also a very basic agility course if you will. If there are more than 5 dogs in the large breed section it becomes a little cumbersome. I do find pet owners here are more aware of their pets and seem to understand when their pet is not behaving well and it might be time to leave. I haven't found that to be the case and other local dog parks.

This is a very good dog park. Two separate areas make it easy to maneuver dogs around to mitigate conflict, and each side is perfectly equipped for your dog to have a great time. Pork Chop has made some really good friends here, and it is our local dog park. Five stars!
