Nice walking path around the park that I walk almost daily. There are ducks and geese to watch during the cold months, and a few remain all year. A playground can be enjoyed by the children. There are covered tables and benches to sit and enjoy the view. Some people try fishing, but I’m not sure there are many fish any more.

Nice park tennis courts, small playground, benches and some tables. At this time of year, December, lots of ducks and geese to feed. Lots of people jogging and walking dogs. Doggie poo bags and receptacles. Nice, safe park.

The catfish hunting is excellent (do NOT eat lol), tons of small to medium cats reeled in using BAR-S hot dog skins on a 2 ft-ish bobber between 8 and 25 ft out. Great shade tree spots on each side of the pond, around the clock. Perfect for little ones to learn and be excited about fishing, yet when the inevitable small child boredom kicks in, the playground is close by and easy to see. Highly recommend.

The home of thousands of Canada Geese every fall, plus a large population of Mallards...A few Great Blue Herons, 2 or three Double Crested Cormorants, 8 very large domestic geese of some sort, and finally, a half dozen Northern Shovelers. I love them all...the playa lake at Hoel Park @ Lubbock TX!

Close to our home so we really see the serene view. Love going to the kids park and getting the steps we need for the day! We meet new friends here too.
