We had a great time at the park. Clean!!! And we'll maintained. We had a wonderful group picnic. Trash and recycling were conveniently located. The playground has shade which is a PLUS! No bathrooms which is unfortunate but if you gotta go, there is 1 port-of-john. We used their BBQ grill and there is an area to properly dispose of your charcoal.

Nice dog park w water fountain that also had water come out near the bottom and fills a dog water bowl. Lots of space. Typical double fence entry. So far seen no issues w aggressive dogs or negligent owners. Playground is easily visible from dog park so if your kids are old enough to be at the park w/o you being right next to them, u could easily walk kids to the park then as they play u monitor your dog at the dog park & your kids on their own playground as well. Playground also has swing for special needs patrons. Also a walking trail that goes through the wooded area near the park. A nice, short, easy hike fit for kids and dogs of all sizes. Avoid the tall grass because we have picked up many ticks on that side

This park is absolutely gorgeous! The views are stunning and it's clean and spacious. However, I had to dock a star due to the dog owners in the park. This was our first time here and we were visiting as a treat for our dog after walking around the nearby outlet mall. We didn't actually get to use the park because as soon as we approached, a pittie started snarling at us. To her parent's credit, they did restrain her but didn't remove her, which had us cautious. While we were letting our dog greet the others (on leash), a rottweiler snarled at him. His owner called out that he "didn't mean it," but at that point we decided we weren't risking an altercation with either dog and left. I understand that we have a large male dog, but he's incredible sweet and doesn't even want to play for long so he's not overly intrusive to other dogs. Typically he only wants a few minutes of sniffing or running then he'll wander off. He didn't do anything to illicit these reactions, so I find myself asking why other owners bring their dogs to public off-leash dog parks if their dogs are selectively/randomly reactive to other dogs.

Montgomery County parks are generally a disappointment. This one was a nice surprise, but once again, they allow the park to fall victim to bad maintenance. This lock has been broken for weeks, despite park management being contacted. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who reached out about it - it makes the outer gate nearly unusable. They also can't be bothered to plant new grass, resulting in moldy, muddy water pooling around the gazebo concrete. I guess only Rockville and Gaithersburg are allowed to have well funded parks... And if you don't live there, your dog isn't allowed to attend it, legally. I'm not sure what we're paying taxes for any more.
