My favorite dog park in the area. Park is well maintained and has a dog obstacle course built by a local man, who brings his dogs to the park. My dog Luna loves to come to this park and usually gets along with all the other dogs. There’s also nice trails near the dog park that you can go on a walk with your dog.

Great dog park, great, responsible owners, great dogs! My dog Astrid is happiest when being able to freely romp & race, exuding her joyful energy among her doggie friends! And it’s great talking with owners, sharing our stories about our beloved dogs, many of whom are rescues. There is a “little dog” area, but it is also an area where dogs who are anxious or overwhelmed can seek respite & calm. This park is a wonderful asset to the community & beyond! I live in Bowling Green where there is no dog park. I travel between FXBG & Mechanicsville to several dog parks bc my dog’s physical & socialization needs are important. Pole Green Dog Park meets her needs! It is maintained & upgraded by dedicated volunteers & supported by many local businesses.

The largest fenced off dog park I’ve ever went to and I’ve been to 28 states. The “time out” pen was a new thing for me too and I’ve gotta say it is the best idea ever! Sometimes dogs just get a bit too excited and a time out zone allows them to calm it and still stay and enjoy their visit. Will go back often.

Awesome dog park. Fully fenced in. Lots of room for running and there is water and poop bags and toys. There are benches in the shade and even obstacles for your pooch to train on. There are two fenced-in areas, one for the smaller dogs. There are trails for long walks, too.

This dog park is not necessarily safe. There have been a couple of instances recently where smaller dogs have been attacked by another larger dog (German Shepherd (no disrespect to that breed)). We had to intercede in both cases to break it up. Our dog was injured today (bleeding puncture wound on his neck), and the trip to the Vet will be expensive. Not to mention, he could have been killed. It's a great facility, but it's no good if people are not paying attention to their dogs and irresponsible dog owner's bring aggressive dogs into the park.
