Pompano Beach Airpark - Bike Path Trailhead

Paved flat 4.5 mile circle. Passes very nice county park, golf course, Good Year blimp station, equestrian station and airport. Bathrooms and benches along the route. Some shade. Bike repair stations. We loved it.

Plenty of parking next to a nice bike path loop - about 4.5 miles. Path is mostly smooth, with a couple of rough pavement areas.

I usually run by the beach in Fort Lauderdale. Awesome run that can go for 7 to 8 miles without crossing an intersection. Really helpful when trying to maintain a pace and also be safe. But it gets to be a little repetitive. I found the Airpark on Google and glad I did. It's about 20 minutes from my house but it offers a similar concept : safe, no intersection. Except you run around a big field in circle. About 4.5 miles. 7km. I ran at end of day around 6 pm. Not a lot of people but a few joggers, bicycle riders, skaters and walkers. While you are constantly near fairly busy roads, you have a very nice area to look at on the inside. The airfield with the Goodyear blimp, aircrafts, stables and horses and then a golf course. On the other side of the road, are baseball and soccer fields and tennis courts. Very nice. I'll do it again. Bonus is that Pompano Beach restaurants and pier are 1.5 miles away for a beer or snack after the workout.

Great trail. I bike it all the time. I'm attempting to get the trail area, the connections on/off, & it's full circuit more properly displayed, & useable on Google Maps.

This is my favorite trail to ride my back...but lately there's been so much construction or bike lane closures that now, I'm searching for a new spot. I've been coming here since 2021 and it's never been like this. Hopefully it gets better
