We visited the Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier while in Pompano Beach and it ended up being one of our favorite stops.
Parking can be a little challenging on weekends. We did two loops before someone pulled out of a street parking spot, so we definitely got lucky. Just plan for a little patience if you’re coming during a busy time.
The pier itself was clean, beautiful, and had amazing ocean views the whole way out. But the highlight for us was definitely the pelicans. They were sitting right on the pier next to the fishermen, just hanging out. One of them, the most grey one that they called Charlie, was so calm he even let the fishermen pet him.
They were such cool animals to watch close up and incredibly photogenic, even though they were probably just waiting for someone to toss them a fish. Honestly, we’d come back again just to see the pelicans.
Such a fun and memorable stop if you’re visiting the area. 🌊🐦📸

Pompano Beach was so much fun! The beach was absolutely stunning, with crystal clear water that you can walk out for a while before having to swim. Those who are seashells collectors-This place is your jam. There are eateries along the boardwalk and a pier that is free! If you are fishing, there is a cost hiwever under $10. You can hang out with the birds and bask on one of their benches.

Taking the Water Taxi from Ft. Lauderdale to Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier is so easy with incredible views from the boat.
Pompano Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach with a large pier that you can walk out on with free access. Many people do fish off of the pier, with the option of seeing Pelicans walking on the pier as well.
Cute little town and beautiful pier.

So much fun! Clean, warm, cold Splashpad water. Refreshing as no other Beach we've seen. Pompano Beach should B your next Bucket List check mark. Image is our place at the 26th Parallel. Be there, and B there often! Yes, that rubber ducky is sitting on a floating throne. If you enjoy air traffic, this is your destination!

Pompano Beach beach and pier are the golden jewel of the town. They have a wonderful walkway and the pier is the best in south Florida. The beach is wide and lots of room for the family. There are plenty of facilities/ restrooms, restaurants and a few shopping beach wear stores. This is definitely worth a day visit for a day at the beach, a stroll on the the beach walk, a meal at the many restaurants or sitting and people watching. While there are many wonderful restaurants with great food you have to stop at the Briny Irish Pub. This pub has great food, but gives you not only a tourist welcome, but a feel of hometown Pompano Beach!
