I great little spot to get outdoors. A ton of trails, all well kept and flat. Great for a stroll or biking. Close to down town but far enough away you escape hustle and bustle. The biggest down side and the only reason I give it a 4 out 5 is because the parking situation sucks. I circled around the lot a few times and felt like a vulture.

A great place to take a quick walk around, can walk your dog (on a leash of course) lovely place during the fall, beautiful! Not much for parking tho about 20 spots in total, 10 on one side, 10 on the other give or take a few spots, this specific spot is off of Gladstone and Center entrance (148th and Center basically but a few blocks from 148th) no bathrooms... which sucks, no garbages either, so "pack out what you pack in" as the saying goes... that includes your dog doo doo that soo many people like to rudely leave behind at the entrance.

Fantastic find! What a great spot to get away from the feel of the city, in the city. I took the bus, google maps gave me a horrible route to walk into the park. Just get off at Powell and 162 and walk up right into the park. Lots of different trails. Great history displays. Beautiful views. I picked up a lot of other people's trash, so remember to Leave no trace..

Great place to hike or bike in nature. My favorite trails are on the West side, which has a good amount of tall Douglas Firs and several options for winding your way to the summit meadow. In the meadow you might see the occasional coyote, so keeping your dog on a leash is a good idea. You get great views of Mount Hood and Mount Saint Helens as you walk around the summit loop, with a few other peaks in the distance on clear days.

What a stunning natural area to enjoy! With spectacular views of Mt. Hood, and glimpses of the greater Portland area, you can unwind along the many trails and not feel crowded. There are lovely rolling hills and forest areas. It's dog friendly, and when my boyfriend and I went we couldn't hear any traffic noise or city sounds. Just birds and other nature sounds. We caught a gorgeous sunset, and are looking forward to going back to spend time on the longer trails. There are enough paths that are easy walking, not strenuous hikes. The visitor center was closed when we went, but we understand there are public bathrooms somewhere, picnic tables and benches, and lots of interpretation signs to educate people about local flora and fauna. There are plenty of free parking spots, and the roads are well maintained.
