This place is great. It’s ideal for dogs that like to play with other dogs. I went on a Sunday. The area is fenced. There’s plenty of space. It is a walk from the parking lot but it’s labeled. Make sure to leave water bottles in the car to rinse you and your pet off. There wasn’t a hose area, which would have been great.

First timers 8/2025 around 2pm. $6 per car to enter the large QW park. The road in QW park ‘dead ends’ at the pathway to the sandy dog beach. Enjoyed shaded wide trail 10 min stroll between the QW dog beach parking lot and QW dog beach. Several dogs all sizes leashed and unleashed. Happy we could rinse our pup off at the good size dog rinse area (see pic) located behind the restroom structure; strong water pressure. Service dog enjoyed his romp and splash. The restroom bldg is across street and closer to beach parking lot FYI.

There’s not that many places around us where you can have your dog enjoy direct water access with a nice sandy beach, very clean and well organized, even though kind of tight. We were lucky on this Labor Day, as there were not too many dogs/dog owners around. Best can be seen from the pictures I took. To enter the park, you have to pay $6 but you can stay for as long as you want, or until the park closes. It’s about 10 minutes walk from where you can park your car. There’s also a dog shower available, right next to the restrooms so you can try to get some of the sand of your furry friend.

The beach area is small & can get crowded & the walk is a bit long for a senior dog with mobility issues. But... My dog had a blast once we got there. 🤗

Great fenced dog friendly beach. Not huge, but it works. There's also a free wash station by the parking lot for after.
