I’ve been to this park before and it is not as updated, but they do have a playground for kids. I will not be coming back to this park though because of the squirrels!! The comments saying that the squirrels are friendly are not true. They are only friendly If you do not have food. This is my first time bringing food to this park and I just got ganged up on by a bunch of squirrels like I was Veruca salt from Willy Wonka. I’m not even joking. A squirrel went up my leg and they were literally running after me until I had to take the food out of my daughter’s bag and throw it because they were not letting up. Although it was funny afterwards, I’ve never felt so much fear in my life about a squirrel. I’ve never seen squirrels act like that so I’m assuming that people are feeding them.. be aware that if you do bring food to the park, you may get attacked by squirrels unprovoked.

Liberty Tree Park, now known as Rae Carol Armstrong Liberty Tree Park (gosh that is a mouthful) is one of the best parks in the City of Plantation. My kids grew up at this park. Located off 5th street , matter of fact the park used to be known as “5th Street Park”, it has undergone three name changes. The park is both Dog Friendly and Pedestrian Friendly. This park has a genuinely nice children playground that is shaded with large mature trees. This is important to me and has several benches to sit down. The park is a good size, now double in size since when the City of Plantation acquired the Elks Club back in the early 2000’s . There are nice walking trails and bathroom facilities too. Along the walking trails and surrounding the Gazebo you will find dedication bricks throughout. A brick can be personalized and installed for approximately $125.00. The squirrels that live there never go hungry as I see people all the time feeding them peanuts. If you are in the area, Rae Carol Armstrong Liberty Tree Park is absolutely worth a visit.

This park needs to be updated but I guess no one is complaining. The kids playground equipment is old. The mulch is old. There's enough space for improvement. The city can do this! #cityofplantation

Best park on the planet. It is quiet, clean, peaceful and has lots of exercise equipment -s and seating. Lots of resources are there to keep your child occupied like a full playground. It is quiet not crowded like other parks and has several rest areas and water fountains. It is beautiful serene and you can taste the tranquility on your lips. It was so peaceful i fell asleep after one of my workouts slept for an hour undisturbed while being caressed by nature.

Nice park. Friendly squirrels. Just don't feed them.
