What dog owners are saying

This was our first time here and my little ones had a great time. It got 3 covered shaded playground areas by age group, a gated splash pad which my son enjoyed the most, and many swings which looks like tree branches with squirrels. It has 4 pavilions that you can rent as well. The areas were well kept and the restrooms were clean. The communication board by the water splash is a plus, such a cool tool to help develop language.
Read more about Plantation WoodsI’ve been to this park before and it is not as updated, but they do have a playground for kids. I will not be coming back to this park though because of the squirrels!! The comments saying that the squirrels are friendly are not true. They are only friendly If you do not have food. This is my first time bringing food to this park and I just got ganged up on by a bunch of squirrels like I was Veruca salt from Willy Wonka. I’m not even joking. A squirrel went up my leg and they were literally running after me until I had to take the food out of my daughter’s bag and throw it because they were not letting up. Although it was funny afterwards, I’ve never felt so much fear in my life about a squirrel. I’ve never seen squirrels act like that so I’m assuming that people are feeding them.. be aware that if you do bring food to the park, you may get attacked by squirrels unprovoked.

Read more about Sunset ParkWe visited Pop Travers Park to see a softball tournament today. The fields and facilities at the park were fairly well maintained. Concessions and restrooms were adequate. A large number of families attended this tournament and there was enough parking, although the kit is long and narrow and some had a walk of ten minutes or more to their cars. The main parking lot is across a canal via a pedestrian bridge. Many also parked behind the middle school along a service road that also leads to the park.
