The park side is really fun for kids of all ages! So many dinosaurs, slides, and activities for kids to do. The bathrooms are bad. I recommend you come prepared with your own toilet paper, soap, wipes, etc. They smell really bad and are not clean.
Dog owner, be careful! There is a giant bee hive under the green manhole in the southern section of the park. My dog and I just got attacked and we had to bring him the pet urgent care cuz his face was covered with bees. My GF and I got stung multiple times, and tried to call the city (long beach health department) but they said they are not gonna do anything about the hive. Just be careful and stay safe 🙏🏻 Ps: if anyone has a flamethrower and wanna help get rid of it... 😏
The gutters around the tennis area was filled with trash ....both sides. I couldn't find a single trash can to dispose of my trash. Why so many through the middle of the park, and then not a single one?
Recreation park is great for rest, relaxation and get together with friends and family. My church ( Remnant Church) meets there and we get to minister to those who are homeless, hungry and hurting!
