Pretty good dog park! At the South East side of the parking lot (closest to the dog park trail) there was a map of the area and a port-a-john. Then it is a .3 miles up the trail to the large loop dog park. The trail is mixed use (plenty of horse poop and mountain bikers you have to watch for-- although everyone was polite) and climbs about 20-40 degrees up a gravel trail. There was no trash can at the trailhead, however once you get into the dog park theres trashcans at all the entrances. Once in the off leash area the trail climbs even steeper (45-50 degrees) up to the large loop. The large loop is .35 miles of even path around the edge (more gravel) and scrub brush in the middle. I read the reviews and some said there was too many cacti but I only saw a handful of small prickly pears. And I was looking out for them! In the end my dog avoided any spines. Oh and I saw a jug of water halfway around the large loop but no bowl! The other dog owners were walking focused laps and their dogs were all friendly and polite to my hyper dog with no issues. Note: bring water bowl. Can't wait to go back! (1.3 miles from the parking lot, two laps around the loop, and back).

A short walk uphill from the free parking lot, to the right of the bike paths is a fenced off area with a nice view of the scenery. There were many dog owners who preferred the trails behind the dog park instead of the sectioned off zone. My dog had a blast having this park mostly to ourselves jumping off piles of dirt. The walk is very steep to the flat areas, but pet owners will certainly get a small trek out of it.

A great place for your dog to run and for you to enjoy the 360° view of the mountains of the Rockies! The Lower Loop Dog Park is located up the hill from the parking lot. It can be found by using the map at the entrance to the walkway. It is fully fenced in, has 3 entrances, 2 trash cans, and lots of space to roam! This is a perfect place to take photos of breath taking sights! This park requires you to be able to climb up steep slopes and hills, inside and outside the dog park, so come prepared and bring water! The people and the dogs are all friendly and are here for adventure! Overall, a nice, quiet, gorgeous place to walk with your pup!

Great off leash park with short trails within the gated area. Keep in mind the trails have steep areas with loose gravel so if you have mobility issues it may be difficult to walk around. There are also some cactus in the grassy areas so keep an eye on your dogs!
