Riverfront Park is a pretty cool place to chill out for a while, have a picnic, get some photography done or just go for a hike. There’s a golf area over there if you’re into that, but it’s just a good area in northern Lawrence to just escape. There’s plenty of parking there and you can definitely have some alone time while still being in the outskirts of a college town.

Nice area, clean. The fish were jumping. The water level was high. I thought...the most I'd seen it at that level. In all, it was a nice experience, nice being outside, and being around the water. They have restrooms, but I didn't use it, or check it out.

One of my favorite spots in town when I am wanting to get back to my roots and enjoy nature. Whether trekking out on my own or taking the dogs for an outing, I visit here several times a month, all throughout the year. There is a porta-potty, very well tended paths and a nice disc golf course. Great for all ages. And the big bonus is that it is just minutes away from downtown Lawrence (by car).

I hit up all the dog park in LFK me and my boy Rufus and I love this one for secluded. Morning walks to sit and drink and cup of coffee and have a smoke in the morning and jusy sit and enjoy nature

Great place to take the pups off leash. Not nearly as large as the mutt run at Clinton Lake. Lots of poison ivy!
