Park Review: A Perfect Spot for a Day Out This park is absolutely amazing—truly a hidden gem and the perfect place for a picnic or a relaxing day outdoors. One of the things I appreciated most was how clean and well-maintained everything is. The restrooms are in great condition, surprisingly nice for a public space, and easily accessible from all areas of the park. There are plenty of picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds, many of them shaded by tall, beautiful trees, so you can stay cool even on a sunny day. The shade throughout the park is incredible—it makes the whole place feel peaceful and inviting. The green space is vast and lush, perfect for laying out a blanket, playing catch, or just soaking in nature. There’s also a designated resting area with benches where you can unwind and enjoy the scenery. For dog lovers, the dogging area is a huge plus. It’s spacious, secure, and a great spot for your pup to run around and socialize. There’s also a ton of walking space, with wide paths winding through the park, ideal for a stroll or a jog. Families will love the playground, which is super fun and safe—kids will have a blast. And of course, parking is never a hassle thanks to the convenient parking lot right by the entrance. All in all, this park has everything you could want—clean facilities, natural beauty, tons of space, and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommend spending a day here!

This is one of those somewhat hidden parks, unless you live right near it. The playground equipment is new and fun. The park as a whole is well kept. There is a rather large pavilion with outlets and lights. There is a tennis court, baseball field, a horseshoe area, and basketball courts, although not all of those are quite as well kept. There is plenty of shade from mature trees, not quite as much in the afternoon on the playground. There is a bathroom and drinking fountain in the middle of the park, but I am guessing they are not open in the winter (they are open now, though). It is right next to Riverview Jr High) which suggests that the Jr High uses it for recess, but it is open to the public as well.
