Sadly the nature reserve has not completely recovered from the EF-3 tornado that ripped through here a few years back. Over 900 trees were removed after the catastrophic effect that the reserve suffered. Park still adequate for visiting families. The play space is great for the kids, and a variety of short trails makes it a good local getaway place for the region.

Very nice and well kept reserve! Trails are top notch for walking or running. Features include a community garden, a lovely playground, a birdwatching blind, some beehives, and modern restrooms. I'd love to visit again once the vegetation grows in.

A great place to walk and enjoy nature. Well laid out trails, children’s park is too cute made from local trees cut and shaped into playground equipment. vegetable garden for the picking , take what you want , save some for others ❤️. Pond and

This park took a direct hit from a tornado on Memorial Day of 2019. A lot of work has been done to clean up and improve the park. The Russ house is gone now, but the PlayScape has been greatly improved. The trails have also been greatly improved with crushed rock and stairs. The park has a very nice network of trails. It also has a high fence garden and small pond. They keep improving the trails and the Playscape...well worth a visit. It is also a good place to see how the forest recovers from a direct tornado strike.

Amazing event put on - my family LOVED watching Moana 2 at the park! The arts and crafts were a hit - kudos to the entire crew for such an awesome experience.
