I had been looking for an electric bike friendly park and couldn't find much info on the reviews. This park is ebike friendly and has e bike rentals at the Thirsty Longhorn. The park is clean. Has paved and unpaved trails. Clean restrooms. Many playgrounds. Lots of shade benches and picnic tables.

San Gabriel Park is hands-down one of the best parks in Georgetown! From the peaceful river to the walking trails, playgrounds, and swings, there’s something here for everyone. My family especially loved watching the ducks and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere it’s the perfect spot to slow down, connect with nature, and let the kids run free. Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a quiet walk, or just a scenic place to recharge, San Gabriel Park is a true gem in Georgetown. 🦆✨

Even though much of San Gabriel Park is currently temporarily closed due to July 4th flooding, we still had a great time at the skate park and splash pad today! The skate park was very kid-friendly—the kids had a blast riding their scooters and bikes around with plenty of room to play safely. With the summer heat beating down, we made our way over to the splash pad, which was a perfect way to cool off. The splash pad itself is simple but fun, with water fountains shooting up from the ground at different heights to keep the kids giggling. One downside: there are no covered tables at the splash pad, so on a super hot day like today, shade was hard to come by. That said, the surrounding area was sunny and beautiful, and the kids didn’t seem to mind the heat as much as we parents did! A big plus is the bathrooms, which are located right in the center of the splash pad and skate park—so convenient for parents with little ones. They were well-maintained and had plenty of stalls, which made our visit much easier. There are walking trails, dog friendly fields with doggy bag and waste locations throughout. Overall, San Gabriel Park is a great spot for families, even with some closures. We’ll definitely be returning for more fun once the weather cools down a bit and the whole park has been restored.

Great spot for a walk. Very well kept and tons of facilities along the trail. The swings are very cool and creative to share memories with your little ones. Plenty of areas to have a picnic or take a break. Overall, this will be a go to spot for family walks!

The TCC had its competition here and it was definitely great location to have this event. This is such a beautiful park and bigger than I expected. They have 2 playgrounds that I noticed, could be more but not sure as I didn't walk the entire park. Enjoyed taking a stroll by the water and seeing all the wildlife.
