Very clean, great lighting. Softball/baseball fields were well maintained. Nice playground for little ones and even a dog park! Definitely needs more paved parking.
Been here a lot for soccer this year. The fields are nice and well-kept. Playground is nice. Pavilions are nice, if a bit old and dirty. Bathrooms fall in the latter category. Mostly it is true the homeless have been a concern in the past. We didn’t have any such trouble, though.
Very decent recreational park available in the neighborhood that had playground for the children, basketball court, soccer and baseball field, and a running track. In addition, there’s also a dog park right next to it.
Main slide was closed off. So that was a bummer for my toddler , had to go to another playground
Have never had a problem at this park until today, went normally to the empty field were I always go and train my service dog. I always make sure it’s empty with no people and my dog does his business off the field, some guy in a buggie that I guess works for the park or Melbourne came and yelled that my dog wasn’t allowed on the field. I explained we are doing training and it is the best spot away from distractions and away from people. I can’t take him to the dog park because he was a attacked and still has the scars and I don’t feel comfortable or safe taking him there. This is the closest park to me and the only place I feel comfortable going with my service dog. But I guess it just went in one ear and out the other. I’m very dissatisfied I have been living in Palm Bay for almost 2 years and I love this park I come every morning with my SD and every afternoon after work when he and I are off work. Even in the afternoon I never have a problem with the kids training football or soccer since I go to the farthest and empty part of the field. No where on the Melbourne site or in the park does it say we aren’t allowed on the field. I always see other people with their dogs playing or running through the field, even some dog owners at the baseball park playing with their dogs there. Even though he is a SD he is always on leash never off. So I do not understand why he decided to yell at me. Really made the start of my usual days really bad and made me panic which sucks.
